Boston Scientific Finance Rotation Program

The Boston Scientific Finance Rotation Program is a highly selective, two-year development program designed to cultivate future finance leaders. The program offers recent college graduates with strong academic backgrounds and a passion for finance the opportunity to gain diverse experience across various functions within the company’s global finance organization.

The program is structured around four distinct six-month rotations. These rotations are carefully selected to provide participants with a broad understanding of Boston Scientific’s financial operations. Potential rotation areas can include, but are not limited to:

• Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A): Rotations in FP&A offer exposure to budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and strategic planning. Participants work closely with business leaders to understand key performance indicators and develop financial models that support decision-making.
• Accounting & Reporting: These rotations provide a foundation in generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), SEC reporting requirements, and internal controls. Participants may be involved in preparing financial statements, conducting audits, and analyzing accounting data.
• Internal Audit: Rotations in internal audit allow participants to assess the effectiveness of internal controls, identify potential risks, and make recommendations for improvement. This experience provides valuable insights into the company’s operational processes and risk management framework.
• Commercial Finance: Commercial finance rotations focus on supporting specific business units or product lines. Participants gain experience in pricing analysis, profitability reporting, and sales forecasting. This provides a direct link between financial analysis and business performance.
• Treasury: Treasury rotations offer exposure to cash management, foreign exchange risk management, and capital markets. Participants may be involved in forecasting cash flows, managing banking relationships, and analyzing investment opportunities.
