Finance Processor
Job Summary:
The Finance Processor is responsible for accurately and efficiently processing financial transactions, maintaining financial records, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a solid understanding of basic accounting principles. The Finance Processor will work closely with various departments to support the smooth operation of the finance function.
Key Responsibilities:
- Transaction Processing: Process invoices, payments, expense reports, and other financial documents in a timely and accurate manner.
- Data Entry: Accurately input financial data into accounting systems and spreadsheets.
- Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements, general ledger accounts, and other financial records.
- Record Keeping: Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records, both physical and electronic.
- Payment Processing: Prepare and process payments to vendors and employees, ensuring adherence to payment terms and schedules.
- Reporting: Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and relevant regulations (e.g., SOX).
- Customer Service: Respond to inquiries from vendors, employees, and other stakeholders regarding financial transactions.
- Problem Solving: Investigate and resolve discrepancies in financial records.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and accuracy in finance processes.
- Audit Support: Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- General Ledger Maintenance: Assist with the maintenance of the general ledger, including journal entries and account analysis.
- Expense Management: Review and process employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Invoice Management: Manage the invoice approval process, ensuring proper authorization and documentation.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in a finance or accounting role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) is a plus.
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles (e.g., debits, credits, accruals).
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
