Client Finance Manager
Job Summary
The Client Finance Manager serves as the primary financial point of contact for assigned client accounts. This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of client financial management, ensuring accurate and timely reporting, adherence to budgets, and proactive identification of financial risks and opportunities. The Client Finance Manager builds strong relationships with clients and internal teams to effectively manage client finances and contribute to overall client satisfaction and profitability.
Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare and present accurate and timely financial reports for clients, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements. Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and potential issues. Develop insightful commentary and recommendations based on financial analysis.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Collaborate with clients and internal teams to develop realistic and achievable budgets. Monitor budget performance and provide regular forecasts, identifying potential overruns or shortfalls. Implement strategies to optimize budget utilization and achieve financial goals.
- Client Relationship Management: Serve as the primary financial point of contact for assigned clients, building strong relationships based on trust and mutual understanding. Proactively communicate financial information and address client inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Billing & Invoicing: Oversee the billing and invoicing process for client accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with contractual agreements. Resolve billing disputes and discrepancies efficiently. Manage client accounts receivable and ensure timely collection of payments.
- Contract Management: Review client contracts and agreements to understand financial terms and obligations. Ensure compliance with contract terms and identify potential risks or opportunities.
- Internal Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams, including account management, sales, and operations, to ensure seamless delivery of services and accurate financial reporting. Participate in internal meetings to discuss client financial performance and address any concerns.
- Financial Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards, regulations, and internal policies. Maintain accurate and complete financial records for client accounts.
- Risk Management: Identify and assess financial risks associated with client accounts. Develop and implement mitigation strategies to minimize potential losses.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and efficiency. Implement best practices to enhance the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.
- Client Profitability: Analyze client profitability and identify opportunities to improve financial performance. Develop and implement strategies to increase client profitability.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management, with experience in client-facing roles preferred.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in financial modeling and forecasting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software applications.
- Experience with project management methodologies a plus.
